Ponsse organized the Mechanic International Competition fort the fifth time on June 4–5, 2025 in Iisalmi. A total of 13 competitors from 12 different countries took part in the final competition. Mats Axelsson representing Smålands Maskin & Industriservice AB from Sweden won the very tight and even competition.
The Einari Vidgrén Foundation rewarded merited forestry professionals for the 20th time at the award ceremony held in Rientola in Vieremä on 3 June. The awards totalled EUR 180,000.
Ponsse and Ponsse’s Norwegian country organization Ponsse AS organized on 23 May a customer seminar in Gardemoen, Norway. Ponsse’s 55th anniversary was also celebrated in connection with the event.
Ponsse has been operating in Poland for 22 years. In April 2021, Ponsse’s dealer company CDN ERGO Ltd started a service center project to strengthen Ponsse’s market position in Poland. Now, four years later, in Czarnków, in addition to Ponsse’s 55th anniversary, we were able to celebrate the inauguration of new premises.
The visual identity of Ponsse Collection was completely updated during the brand renewal. Ponsse Collection received a new logo, fonts, brand colors, and imagery.
Scheff Logging & Trucking Inc. received an invitation to come and receive the 21,000th Ponsse forest machine manufactured in Vieremä, Finland. The machine to be handed over is the PONSSE Buffalo 8W. Paul Estabrooks and his team from Ponsse North America are also celebrating the hand over in Vieremä.

This year, Ponsse celebrates its 55th year of operation with the theme of Working together at logging sites across the World. While the load-carrying forest tractor has changed its shape over the years and development has continued, the story of the company’s name and Ponsse the Dog that wandered around the village of Vieremä still lives on.
To celebrate the anniversary, we are now publishing a photo of Ponsse the Dog for the first time.
Ponsse will demonstrate new solutions at the FinnMETKO 2024 exhibition in Jämsä that support the daily activities of forest machine operators and help forest machine entrepreneurs monitor the profitability and productivity of their fleet. Ponsse’s new forwarders Elk and Wisend and H7 harvester heads will be showcased at the event for the first time.
