Joen­suu is the Ser­vice Centre of the Year in Fin­land

Joen­suu has been cho­sen as Pons­se’s Fin­nish Ser­vice Centre of the Year 2023. The eva­lua­tion is based on cus­to­mer feed­back, ope­ra­tio­nal and safety per­for­mance, and pro­fi­ta­bi­lity. In addi­tion, the deve­lop­ment of the ser­vice cent­res is eva­lua­ted by a panel of experts from Ponsse. Con­gra­tu­la­tions to the whole Joen­suu team!

-The choice for 2023 tur­ned out to be surpri­singly easy, as Joensuu’s score rose to a his­to­ric high through steady and con­sis­tent per­for­mance. Sys­te­ma­tic work in inven­tory mana­ge­ment and adhe­rence to the com­pa­ny’s tar­gets were cer­tainly strong fac­tors behind this result, says Olli Kol­jo­nen, Spare Parts and Mar­ke­ting Mana­ger. 

The num­ber of PONSSE forest mac­hi­nes in Eas­tern Fin­land has inc­rea­sed stea­dily, and the ser­vice offe­ring is acti­vely used. Joen­suu Ser­vice Centre is a full-ser­vice centre. It offers field and infor­ma­tion sys­tem main­te­nance, spare parts and mac­hine sales, tech­nical sup­port as well as a well-stoc­ked spare parts ware­house and Ponsse Shop. The repair works­hop and spare parts ware­house on the same pre­mi­ses ensure short ser­vice tur­na­round times. The Joen­suu Ser­vice Centre employs 14 people.

-Joen­suu has impro­ved its per­for­mance a lot. Our ser­vice per­son­nel con­sists of rela­ti­vely new rec­ruits as a whole, but they’ve done a great job and lear­ned quickly, wit­hout com­pro­mi­sing safety. Cus­to­mer con­fi­dence in local ope­ra­tions is reflec­ted, for example, in a strong inc­rease in ser­vice cont­racts,” says Marko Iiva­nai­nen, Regio­nal Ser­vice Mana­ger, Eas­tern Fin­land.
