Pons­se’s Supplier Day was held in Vie­remä Rien­tola on Wed­nes­day 10.4.2024. Domes­tic suppliers came toget­her to hear about Pons­se’s direc­tion, stra­tegy and expec­ta­tions for the supplier network.

Ponsse orga­ni­ses annual supplier days for both domes­tic suppliers and inter­na­tio­nal suppliers. “We want to keep in close con­tact with our supplier network. One of the best ways is the annual supplier days in Vie­remä. At these events we discuss the mar­ket situa­tion and direc­tion,” says Procu­re­ment and Logis­tics Mana­ger Tuo­mas Yli-Mart­tila.

Kul­je­tus­liike Kan­tola & Koramo Oy, which has been a cont­ract freight par­ner for Ponsse for more than 20 years, was cho­sen as Supplier of the Year. In addi­tion to the long-las­ting coo­pe­ra­tion, the rea­sons for the selec­tion were impro­ved cost com­pe­ti­ti­ve­ness sup­por­ting Pons­se’s success, con­ti­nuo­usly impro­ved OTD, flexi­bi­lity of coo­pe­ra­tion in chan­ging situa­tions and cus­to­mer rela­tions­hip mana­ge­ment.

Kan­tola & Koramo is a major logis­tics part­ner and hand­les a large part of Pons­se’s logis­tics in Fin­land.  In addi­tion to inco­ming mate­rials, the com­pany hand­les a sig­ni­ficant part of the spare parts deli­ve­ries to ser­vice cent­res all around Fin­land.

The award was recei­ved by the com­pa­ny’s Regio­nal Direc­tor Anssi Hat­tu­nen and Mana­ging Direc­tor Ville Koramo.
