Hydro­mec Inc., based in Qué­bec, Canada, celebra­ted its 50th anni­ver­sary on Satur­day, Novem­ber 8, at its Saint-Augus­tin-de-Des­mau­res loca­tion. The event welco­med nearly 500 guests, inclu­ding cus­to­mers, part­ners, suppliers, fami­lies, and emplo­yees from the company’s four branc­hes.

The eve­ning conclu­ded two open house days held on Novem­ber 7–8. Visi­tors had the oppor­tu­nity to explore the modern faci­li­ties at the Qué­bec branch and meet Hydro­mec teams along with their part­ners such as Ponsse, A.L.P.A. Equip­ment (Landrich), and ELTEC.

“This 50th anni­ver­sary means much more than just a miles­tone – it’s a tri­bute to eve­ry­one who has built Hydro­mec since 1975 with their work and pas­sion,” said Jean Trot­tier, CEO of Hydro­mec. “We are proud of our achie­ve­ments and com­mit­ted to con­ti­nuing this jour­ney with the same dedica­tion and pas­sion.”

Foun­ded in 1975 by Marcel Trot­tier, Hydro­mec Inc. is a Qué­bec-based com­pany specia­lizing in the sales, main­te­nance, and repair of heavy equip­ment for fore­stry, con­struc­tion, and mate­rial hand­ling.

Hydro­mec is known for its exper­tise and high-qua­lity ser­vice. The com­pany repre­sents seve­ral lea­ding brands, inclu­ding Ponsse, Landrich, Fuchs (A Terex Brand), ELTEC, and Hyun­dai Con­struc­tion Equip­ment.

Today, Hydro­mec employs nearly 100 people and ope­ra­tes four branc­hes: Amos, Chicou­timi, Dol­beau-Mis­tas­sini, and Qué­bec City. The com­pany remains a key player in fore­stry mac­hi­nery exper­tise in Qué­bec.
