The New PONSSE H6 Completes the Renewed Harvester Head Range
In recent years, the development of Ponsse harvester heads has focused particularly on productivity, reliability, and serviceability. First, the H7 and H8 harvester heads were renewed, and now the same design philosophy has been brought to the H6 model.
With the introduction of the new H6, the renewed harvester head family now forms a unified product range where familiar and proven solutions serve a wide variety of harvesting operations, from first thinnings to final fellings.
A Common Design Philosophy Across the Product Family
The renewed H6, H7, and H8 harvester heads share many structural solutions. The objective has been to improve uptime, simplify maintenance, and increase durability in demanding working conditions.

One of the most visible updates is the new placement of the connection hoses at the front of the protective cover. This solution provides better protection against external stress, helping to extend hose life and reduce the risk of damage.
The optional HH360 rotator allows unlimited 360-degree rotation of the harvester head without restrictions caused by hoses. This improves operating efficiency, especially on demanding work sites.
Measurement accuracy has also been further enhanced. The updated length measuring system supports accurate bucking and high-quality end results in a variety of harvesting conditions.
Serviceability at the Core
Special attention has been given to maintenance efficiency throughout the design of all renewed harvester heads.
All joints and bearings can be lubricated from a single service position without the need to rotate the harvester head into different positions. This speeds up daily maintenance tasks and makes servicing easier in field conditions.
Excellent accessibility to service points helps minimize downtime and keep the machine operating efficiently.
Designed for Winter Conditions
The needs of northern markets have played an important role in product development. In the renewed harvester heads, the shape of the saw box has been redesigned to reduce the accumulation of snow and ice in the structure.
This solution improves operational efficiency during winter and helps maintain reliable performance even in challenging weather conditions.
In addition, the harvester heads now offer greater flexibility in saw unit selection. The standard solution is the Ponsse CT+, while the Hultdins SuperCut 100S is also available as an alternative.
Solutions for Different Needs
The renewed product family offers alternatives for various harvesting environments and machine classes. Whether the application is first thinning, thinning, or final felling, the renewed harvester head range provides a suitable solution for every operation without compromising productivity, durability, or operator comfort.
